People have been wanting to glimpse the magic of solar eclipses for well over a hundred years.
We’ve found examples of paper eclipse-viewing glasses from as far back as the 1920s. Sold by opticians and others for the eclipse of 1932, the vintage paper style glasses are fascinating, many of them with maps of Totality on the reverse side.
With names like Eclipse-O-Scope, what’s not to love about these vintage finds?
Will you be taking part in the April 8, 2024 eclipse? Let us know!
And yes, you can still snag a set of approved eclipse glasses here if you need a last minute one!
