We’ve never seen sculpture quite like the work of Kiko Miyares, Spanish artists who creates avant garde pieces that blend pop culture with abstraction.
In this fascinating series using timber, he creates long and dramatic cars and their headlights, represented as long, dimensional blocks of light.
The projection of headlights manifest as viewports onto the road ahead, showcasing people in the road or vistas, the the headlight’s glare is painted an electric yellow color to emphasize the form.
There’s a unique playfulness and chunky aesthetic on the craftsmanship, which we feel make the sculptures feel all the more unique and enticing.
