Showing both dedication and a delightfully impressive motion-graphic skill, James Curran took his trip to Tokyo as a challenge to create a new animated GIF every day for 30 days. Not only is that a lot of animation work, it’s a lot of creative ideation, requiring cleverness and imagination that not everyone possesses. Entitled Tokyo Gifathon, the series shows Curran experiencing some of the most strange and iconic parts of Tokyo – the capsule hotels, the fancy automatic toilets (washlets), the busiest intersection in the world (Shibuya Crossing), and many more.
