The very talented group at teamLab have a new interactive art exhibition in Hong Kong, in the lead up to this year’s Art Basel festival.

Creating enormous, illuminated ovoid, teamLab installed them all throughout Tamar Park, which extends down to the scenic waterfront.

The installation is called Resonating Life which Continues to Stand, and is a reflection on the human condition and human emotions, which take a beating, and continue to stand tall. The ovoid shapes can tip over, but always tip back up, resilient.

The interaction of the egg-shaped ovoids is clever – when one is moved by either human interaction or wind, they change color, triggering the nearby ovoids to also change. The result is an organic, flowing effect, one done with technology and light.

The beautifully interactive installation runs from March 25 to June 2, 2024.
