We all know binge watching, the habit of cruising through an entire season of a television show, in a weekend’s time. It’s easy to do, and platforms like Netflix make it easy, with one episode starting as the other one ends.
Kottke shares his nature of stinge watching, the opposite pattern. Perhaps you love a show so much, you don’t want it to end. This habit, which we’ve been caught guilty of, draws out a series to weeks or even months, limiting our intake to just an episode a week or less.
It’s a clever term for the opposite of binge watching, and shows a bit of restraint versus the all-you-can-eat tv buffet.
Do you treat any shows that way?
