While not all that new of an internet meme, I do think there is some musical resonance in the area of music slowdown. Everyone from Justin Bieber to Mozart has ‘been slowed’. Result is a very slow burn, a symphonic sound that can be really calming and oddly reassuring. I think this particular cut works pretty well in the area of slllllllllllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwweeeedd music. Having John Williams’ strings slowed down a thousand percent makes for some really tranquil sound space. Take a listen, though this one song weighs in at just under one hour.
