Over 1,000 people a year die in Peru on the country’s dangerous mountain roads. The Andes mountains are beautiful, but treacherous to cross, especially for large vehicles like trucks and buses.

Glorioso has been driving since he was 14 years old.

The BBC traveled with Glorioso, a bus driver who has been navigating Peru’s narrow, mountainous roads for 50 years, to see how he handles them.

Take a look at the short video below to see him at the wheel.

The buses have to navigate narrow, one lane dirt passes on the edges of mountains.

Drivers like Glorioso are unsung heroes who take passengers through these dangerous passes.

Would you take a chance on a mountainous bus ride through the Andes?
