When diving into the charming history of Scratch N’ Sniff, we came upon this fictional line of literary classics from Indigo, updated with scents that match the mood and premise of the books themselves.
Sadly just an April Fools joke from last year, it’s actually a pretty brilliant idea, and we can imagine being drawn even deeper into a story thanks to the accompanying smells.
Below are some of the classics they re-envisioned with smells that would bring the stories alive.

Indigo’s line of books featuring smells that accompany the storylines.

Little Women’s smells include: Pine and evergreens, crackling fire, fresh country air, and leather-bound books.

Les Misérables featuring the smell of freshly baked bread, 1800’s French sewer, and candle wax, among others.

Dracula’s smells include musty tombstones, incense and candles, blood, and of course, damp caves.

The Secret Garden’s smells include garden herbs, earthy moss and soil, fresh ivy, morning dew, and others.

We love Moby Dick, featuring the smells of saltwater and sea breeze, fish and brine, damp wood and sweat, and tobacco and pipe smoke.

Charlie and Chocolate Factory includes fruity blueberry, popcorn, chocolate fudge, and cotton candy.
