For sports lovers, the play-by-play action of your favorite game is essential. But for those with visual impairments or blindness, there’s a real sense of missing out.
OneCourt is a new company offering those that are blind and visually impaired a fully interactive way to experience sports.
With their proprietary tablet-sized device, users have haptic feedback and a map of the court, or field to experience the action, play-by-play. Vibrations and feedback on the device track the action in real-time.
The Portland Trailblazers are one of the first teams to incorporate this technology at their games, and visually impaired fans have been loving it.
OneCourt offers basketball, baseball, American football, and plans to roll out more sports soon.
