With highly exaggerated yet elegant backs, these chairs are highly memorable and distinctive. Created by Lebanese designer George Geara, the chairs feature a ladder-like back that has adjustable backrests, and a contrasting striped pattern.
Called ECHELLE, the collection feels dramatic and sophisticated, referencing both Levantine tradition, but also African sensibilities.
Using a laser cut metal skeleton, the chairs then have hand-carved wood applied. Another example of furniture design being endlessly creative and fascinating.
