The artworks from Eelco’s Habitat family are a testament to his inspiration from nature’s extraordinary organisms.
The colors, structures, and capabilities of these organisms’ skins offer a unique ability to convey messages, whether to intimidate a foe or allure a mate. In the Habitat family, Eelco blends different structures and colors of organisms, presenting them in an abstract manner.
The organic shapes, colors, and reflective surfaces create new creatures, each conveying a distinct emotion. Every creature is named after the emotion it aims to express, such as Braver, Fierce, or Juicy.
The reflective surfaces invite viewers to see themselves multiple times, establishing a profound connection with the emotions conveyed by the creatures.
