Ukrainian artist Max Sheika has created a striking bronze work titled DRIM, a piece that balances form, material, and metaphor.

Standing just over half a meter tall, the sculpture features a boy outfitted with an astronaut helmet and jetpack, both symbols of both imagination and resilience.

Cast in polished bronze and finished with a rich green patina, DRIM carries a visual weight that feels at once modern and timeless.

The smooth reflective surfaces contrast with the textured patina, highlighting the interplay between aspiration and reality.

While the helmet offers a nod to protection and distance from the outside world, the overall composition feels forward-looking, suggesting a quiet determination to keep moving despite uncertainty.

DRIM is less about fantasy and more about the human condition, our tendency to dream, to shield ourselves, and to seek meaning in uncharted space.

We love the striking patina, and the way the texture itself lends the sculpture so much meaning.

While the character is in an official seeming astronaut outfit, the belly and drawstring of his shorts bring a level of innocence to the sculpture.
