The renowned architecture group BIG is behind the design of two interconnected skyscrapers in Manhattan, featuring an innovative twisting skybridge. Set within a larger development, it features four towers and a central museum characterized by its spiral design.
Known as Freedom Plaza, the 6.7 acre site will sit across from the United Nations headquarters, and have prime real estate along the East River.
The most dramatic feature of the project is a cantilevered skybridge that comes off of the top of the main towers, like it has been bent over. Also included is a spiral-shaped museum, public square, and multiple hotels.
No immediate word on timing for this project, but it will be years in the making.
