There’s a moment of clarity and maybe also a twinge of envy when we see work from artists like Brett Stenson. The multi-talented Portland designer is at home with pixels on a screen as he is with a paintbrush, or even a wood chisel. That type of ease between mediums is rare, and enviable.
His work is bold and evocative, while remaining delightfully charming and relatable. From southwest-themed posters, to branding for boardgames, and hand-carved dog figures, Stenson’s work shares a vibrant, color-block aesthetic.
We love the way his wood carvings share a hand-hewn, chiseled feeling, and have a great tactility to them.
Branding and identity work round out Stenson’s skills, showing his versatility as a designer, and a creative.
