Hanoi is a vibrant city, the capital of Vietnam, and a place full of street life. Millions of people get around by motorbikes, and people have learned to get extremely creative with the way they carry and sell their goods on bike.
Photographer Jon Enoch captured a number of these unique drivers, showcasing their unique skill at balancing enormous loads while zipping through crowded city streets. From rugs and decor, to ice, eggs, and even live fish, the culture has embraced the versatility of motorbikes. There’s clearly skill, balance, practice, and even a bit of luck in all of the elaborate setups.
Captured at night in their element, the photographs paint a memorable picture of a unique and charming culture of Hanoi.
