Neatly tucked into the desert near California’s Sawtooth Mountains, the HATA Dome looks like it rose from the earth itself.

Designed and built by Ukrainian-born artist Anastasiya Dudik, this round, sculptural home blends ancient inspiration with futuristic thinking.

Made from airform, concrete, and stucco, the 1,700-square-foot dome is fireproof, earthquake-safe, and naturally energy efficient.

Its thick curved walls help keep the inside cool in summer and warm in winter.

Soft daylight filters in through circular skylights and small round windows, giving the interior a calm, almost otherworldly feel.
